If the medium is the message then Lauren Sanderson decided her dispatches as a motivational speaker need a beat behind them. So the Indiana native put her personal revelations to song, and in 2016 released the independent EP, ‘Center of Expression.’ Her pivot from YouTube personality to pop singer was well received. Sanderson soon found her herself signed to Epic Records and relocating to Los Angeles. The former DIY act recharged and this year pushed out her six-song EP, ‘DON’T PANIC!’ With a smattering of influences ranging from ska to hip-hop, dance to pop, the set is an impressive re-introduction. Here, she brings her live-wire energy to DSCVR ATW with a blast of in-your-face music on “Electric” and “Shut Em Up.”
