I know you have been wondering all year, well here it is, the long-awaited reveal of the 2018 ornament, as well as the 2019 one in this Nickmake Update!

Every year since 2013 I have made Lisa a custom, Nickmake ornament. And I did a "show and tell" of them all in my previous video 'NICKMAKE 2017' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fq00sOFtDxM)

2013 Mini Sango Boomerang Prop
2014 Micro Tardis Proposal
2015 Barbarian Parasol
2016 Mini Falconry Glove
2017 Mini Bow Perch
2018 Mini Gian Hood
2019 Mini Mews

However, in that video I left 2018 a mystery. The plan was to release a stand-alone video for it a few weeks later, after releasing the video on the full-size version of it. It, being a Giant Hood, a specially designed box used to contain a falconry raptor for travel. Unfortunately, that project became victim of the "dead video folder" so neither video was ever made.

But now at least you know what it was, and get to see it. As well as a look at 2019 ornament, a main mews, a model replica of the enclosure that Lisa keeps her hawk in. I am very happy with how it came out, I think it is a really awesome model of the mews. Unfortunately, (word of the day) this is just a show and tell of it, I made it very last minute, as I didn't get the idea for it until last minute, so I didn't film and footage of building it. Hopefully next year I can get my ideas a little sooner, and make a proper video for 'NICKMAKE 2020.' But as this video is mostly show and tell, I also included a few other falconry related, Christmas gifts that I had made a few years ago.

We saw a bunch of cool nutcrackers in the store, including a hunter nutcracker, but no falconer nutcracker... and definitely not a female falconer, as sad as that is. But a hunter is pretty close. So I bought it, and using the magic of denatured alcohol, I as able to release all the hot glue on the figure, removing the clothes and accessories, so I could repaint it, and put on some falconry related items. I gave it a pink and brown color scheme, added some long hair made of yarn, made it a little falconry glove, and a bag, and of course, 3D printed a little hawk figure to sit on the glove. It came out so cool.

I've said it a few times before, but it's worth repeating that modifying and personalizing a preexisting item, is such a great option when it comes to making things.
