Filming is already well under way with the new cast of Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris, and Top Gear Series 27 is due to launch this Summer. In an early sequence from the new series, Paddy tries to convince Freddie and Chris that the ultimate second-hand family car is, in fact, a hearse.

Spacious, carefully driven, very cheap. So they buy a 1995 Daimler hearse for £1,300, carry out some not-so-subtle modifications (lots of power, lots of blue paint) and head to a Welsh rally course to put the newly-dubbed ‘Undertaker’ through its paces. Things, predictably, don’t go according to plan.

Top Gear returns to BBC Two this summer. Probably.

Top Gear Hyper Bike is a motorcycle racing game for the Nintendo 64, developed by Snowblind Studios and published by Kemco. It was released in 2000. Race along both street and dirt circuits with a collection of top flight dirt-bikes and street bikes. Dirt-bike racing allows you to pull off tricks during racing to increase the amount of turbo boost available to use, while alternating between the different bikes available for each circuit. Compete for points to improve your bikes overall performance or purchase a better overall motorbike.

Trick attack mode allows you to simply concentrate on pulling off as many crazy tricks as possible, while you can create your own special track, with jumps and sharp turns, with the track editor

The game received "mixed" reviews according to the review aggregation website GameRankings.

Ladies and gentlemen, may we present to you the first teaser trailer from the new series of Top Gear.

Incriminating CCTV footage of The Stig from Lotus F1 Team HQ has emerged ahead of the Top Gear Festival in South Africa...

Some say his droppings have been found as far north as York, and that he has a full-size tattoo of his face, on his face. But, to our knowledge, some are yet to say that that he breaks into the headquarters of leading F1 teams overnight on daring smash'n'grab raids.

Until now. Shocking footage has reached Top Gear HQ of our tame racing driver at the home of the Lotus F1 team, first having his wicked way with a mini F1 car, and then redirecting one of the V8-engined 2013 cars that Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean drove with such distinction to... South Africa.

It may well a coincidence that Stig is due to appear at one of the biggest Top Gear Festivals ever in Durban, South Africa on 21-22 June. It may not.

A few days ago I was delighted to finally see a comprehensive head to head test of the Porsche Taycan and the Tesla Model S Performance by Top Gear.

After watching the video I noticed that the 0-60 time in particular was significantly slower than many of my friends who race their Performance Model S track times.

When you go back and watch the video again you notice a few oddities:

1) They don’t disclose what the specific state of charge is for either car. They only say “both cars have over 85% charge”.

2) Though they do show the Taycan launch mode being set, they conveniently avoid showing the S.

3) Warp Speed mode is not enabled, which is a level above Ludicrous+, according to my friend Eli Burton who owns a Performance Model S. This is evident because the battery and motor metrics should be seen on the screen like what my friend Michael from Taiwan sent over. You do not see that in the Top Gear video.

And as my buddy Brooks from DragTimes also brings up in his video questioning Top Gears times, they don’t indicate whether it was in launch mode where the car lowers down (I’ll link his video in the description).

In his video he mentions track times from various Model S owners and surprise surprise the top 4 quarter mile times are better than the Taycan.

These convenient omissions created such a stir among the EV community online that it caused Top Gear to respond in a post on their website:

There have been some questions about the performance figures we posted in our recent Porsche Taycan vs Tesla Model S video. Time for some clarification.

First things first, we ran the drag race five times and the Porsche won every time by a small but increasing margin with each subsequent race.

The best figures we recorded for the Taycan Turbo S were:
0-60:       2.61
0-100:     6.12
¼ mile:   10.69s @ 131.6mph

The best figures we recorded for the Tesla Model S Performance were:
0-60:       2.83
0-100:     6.64
¼ mile:   11.23s @ 123.2mph

The numbers we posted in the video for the Tesla were:
0-60:       2.68
0-100:     6.46
¼ mile:   11.08s @ 124.0mph

These were numbers we recorded in a Model S on a previous occasion. We ran them because these are the best figures we’ve achieved in a Model S to date so we know that’s what the car is capable of.

And just to be clear, the Tesla was in Ludicrous+ mode, the battery was pre-conditioned and both cars had around 85 per cent charge before the first run.

So, let me get this straight:

You didn’t disclose what the specific SOC was for either car
You didn’t disclose whether Launch Mode or Warp Speed was enabled in the S
You used Model S times from 2017 without disclosure
And you failed to mention that Range Mode was turned on for the S

To me, the only conclusion I can come to is that you manipulated the truth to make it fit a specific outcome.

Top Gear got into hot water back in 2008 when Elon Musk claimed the car review group fictitiously stated that the Tesla Roadster they were testing ran out of battery after only 55 miles of use and brake failure.

According to Elon, after dropping off the Roadsters, one of his employees noted that in the script for the Top Gear episode they planned for the car to break down ahead of the recording. Furthermore, after looking at the car logs it had never dropped below 20% state of charge.

In summary, Top Gear does not have the best track record for reviewing Teslas.

It saddens me that Top Gear is twisting the truth for the sake of views instead of impartiality.

Every Top Gear viewer should question their objectivity every time they watch one of their videos.

Incriminating CCTV footage of The Stig from Lotus F1 Team HQ has emerged ahead of the Top Gear Festival in South Africa...

Some say his droppings have been found as far north as York, and that he has a full-size tattoo of his face, on his face. But, to our knowledge, some are yet to say that that he breaks into the headquarters of leading F1 teams overnight on daring smash'n'grab raids.

Until now. Shocking footage has reached Top Gear HQ of our tame racing driver at the home of the Lotus F1 team, first having his wicked way with a mini F1 car, and then redirecting one of the V8-engined 2013 cars that Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean drove with such distinction to... South Africa.

It may well a coincidence that Stig is due to appear at one of the biggest Top Gear Festivals ever in Durban, South Africa on 21-22 June. It may not.

This is said to be Lotus Turbo challenge for the SNES, but their are no lotus cars in the game. No, the only thing in common with the lotus games is that its by Gremlin, ok and it has some tunes from the lotus games.

Lets say this is how Gremlin wanted the lotus series to progress (a newer version without the licencing). what does this have going for it. Music+SFX for one thing sadly missing frm the Lotus games (Amiga+Genesis). I also like that a few trans have a Day/Night transittion effect. The Nitros also come n handy at times.

The Title music in the game is a rendition of the the Lotus II Ending music. You had to work had to get to hear this tune on the Amiga/Genesis, but here it is on the title screen in this game. Not a bad rendition at all, and that goes also for the other Lotus tunes used in the game. However the snes blips and blops dont live up to the Amiga Original, but good all the same.

Now the bad. The game screen area is too damn small. Graphically ...I dunno, but maybe the lotus games looked better, at least by LotusIII. The game is also too damned long, making it repetative to play in one sitting. The cheating ai can get real old at times making it near impossable to get first. Italy/Rome was easily the hardest track and took me many retries to beat it. Due to needing to pit, the front cars get too far away and even nitro doesnt help to much, even the AI racer struggles!

I chose the white car as it has high grip and low fual usage at the cost of overall speed. It made it difficult at time but being able to take corners without breaking much helps me alot.

And finaly a rant on literaly every old game, the ending is so damned unrewarding for the ammount of time put in!

Jeremy, Richard and James must use their custom made police cars to catch The Stig. Can any of them do it?

Jeremy gets a very hands-on induction when he tries out the new F1-style Lotus T125 - courtesy of Jean Alesi.

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are challenged to knock down a row of derelict houses in less time than it takes a team of demolition experts to do the same job. Jeremy tests an updated version of the classic Jensen Interceptor and finds himself transported back to a 1970s world of leather driving gloves and droopy moustaches. The show also features the Lotus T125 which brings F1-style performance to the track, plus another celebrity guest attempts a record lap in the Reasonably Priced Car.

Top Gear can exclusively reveal that Bugatti has smashed through the 300mph barrier. On 2 August 2019, Andy Wallace hit a vmax of 304.77mph in a pre-production vehicle of a new Bugatti Chiron derivative at Ehra-Lessien, becoming the first hypercar to break 300mph.

The velocity is verified by the TÜV – Germany’s Technical Inspection Association – meaning Andy and the prototype Chiron supersede previous really, really fast runs from SSC (256.18mph two-way average, 2007), Hennessey (270.49mph two-way average, 2013) and Koenigsegg (284.55 vmax, 277.87 two-way average, 2017) as well as punching through the mythical 300mph target.

The Top Gear Radio programme, originally aired on BBC Sothern Counties Radio sometime in 2006, then later aired on the Top Gear TV Show, albeit a bit shortened and edited. The original uploads of the radio show on YouTube were 16 10 minute-videos, so I thought I'd create the full version. I also cut out basically any part where the main presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard hammond and James May aren't talking, it was about 30 minutes of other people brabbling about news and traffic and sport. Since this is from 2006 and the world has changed a lot since then, we don't need any of that. Who even cares about Charles Clarke and his departments failure to check, whether 1000 foreign prisoners should've been released from jail instead of being deported anymore?
