On Saturday, April 19th, WNIT continued its search for the next Michiana's Rising Star at the Lerner Theatre from 10am to 5pm as regional contestants perform. The hour long show will air on July 17th at 8 pm.

Michiana's Rising Star is a one hour, multi-part series that seeks to find and celebrate the many talented people that live and work right here in Michiana. From dancers to vocalists, magicians to musicians, they are all here waiting to be discovered.

On April 12th WNITrecorded the first regional show at Warsaw High School, in Warsaw, Indiana - this episode will air on July 10 at 8 pm.

On Saturday, May 3rd, WNIT Michiana's Rising Star's production crew will be recording the hour long show at the Kroc Center in South Bend from 10am to 5pm as regional contestants perform. Contestants have been chosen, but it's free and open to the public to become part of our audience, so come join us! The show will air on July 24th at 8 pm.

Then on Saturday, May 10th, WNIT is end its regional search for the next Michiana's Rising Star is at Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor at the Mendel Center from 10am to 5pm. It's free and the recording of the hour long show is open to the public. We encourage you to be part of the audience! The hour long show will air airs July 31st at 8 pm.

At each of the regional venues, the panel of judges will determine the top five performances.

The night each show airs, you the viewers will text vote to determine the top three contestants on each show that will move on to the August 2nd live show.

Then on Sunday, Aug. 3rd -- live in the WNIT studio -- the remaining 12 contestants will perform live beginning at 8 pm.

On Monday, Aug. 4th at 8 pm, the top 7 contestants will perform -- judges and viewers decide who moves on.

Tuesday, Aug. 5th at 8 pm, the top 6 contestants perform.

Wednesday, Aug. 6th at 8 pm, the top 5 contestants perform.

Thursday, Aug. 7th at 8 pm, the top 4 contestants perform.

Friday, Aug. 8th at 8 pm, the top 3 contestants perform -- the winners will be announced at the end of the show.

During the program, viewers are able to text vote for their favorite performers. Contestants will be asked to perform each night they are still in the contest. There may be an occasion for a favorite to be asked back for a special performance. On Friday's show
(August 8th), first and second place winners will be announced.

This program is a fundraiser for WNIT - Ch. 34's Public Television. It also is a way we are able to showcase the amazing talent in our community. Thank you for wanting to be part of our program. We are happy to turn the spotlight on you!

The judges have narrowed the selection to 100 contestants.

The next phase is the regional performances -- all of which will air during July.

The finalists - after viewers vote -- will move to the live portion of our program beginning Sunday, August 3 through Friday, August. 8.

Four in-studio judges will score the performances during the show, viewers have a chance to text in their vote. Each vote costs $5 to keep the playing field even.

Friday 20th June Portadown’s Got Talent event!

The free event had been organised to celebrate the start of the transformation of Portadown’s Peoples Park.

Hosted by John Daly, the talent show kicked off the evening’s festivities at with 12 acts hoping to impress the high profile judges – Boyzone’s Shane Lynch, UTV’s Julian Simmons, Rachel Kennedy and local personality Dwaine Smyth from the Meat Cleaver.

This event was organised by Craigavon Borough Council in partnership with the Peace Builders Consortium and launches the ‘Part of the People’s Park’ initiative. It was managed by the Southern Partnership’s ‘Investing in Our Future’ priority supported by the European Union’s PEACE III Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.

Over 50 acts auditioned for the event with the final 12 including singers, guitarists, violinists, pianists, dancers, rappers, magician & theatre performers

Following all 12 excellent performances, four semi-finalists were selected with 10 year old singer and guitarist Michael Haughey crowned the public vote’s winner!

The event is run as part of the Shared Process and Community Engagement Project (SPACE) funded through the Special European Programmes Body
(SEUPB) PEACE III Priority 2 Contributing to a Shared Society Theme 1 Creating Shared Public Services and has received financial support from PEACE III Southern Partnership’s Investing in Our Future priority and supported by the European Union’s European Regional Development Fund through the EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation (PEACE III) managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.

MATT GEILER is a comedian, artist, and musician with a passion for making people laugh.

A virtuoso musical improviser and freestyle rapper, Matt’s live appearances are completely off-the-cuff concerts of hilarious songs made up from audience suggestions. He’s toured and performed his incomparable show all over the country and is frequently added to live dates by Wayne Brady who calls Matt “The Beast” and “one of the smartest, funniest performers I’ve had the joy of performing with.”

Matt is also an emerging television and film star, most recently as a featured performer on the current season of NBC’s America’s Got Talent and as the host of the internationally-broadcast dating show What’s In My Pocket? Bringing Back The Bluths!
With so much "will they or won't they?" in the media about the Arrested Development movie, it is beginning to look like it by the time it makes it way into theaters (assuming it ever does), the references may be too dated and too hinging on a once-great-but-now-long-gone show to pull in the numbers needed to do prove to Fox they did the wrong thing by prematurely canceling it.

Hell, Michael Cera's new project, Youth In Revolt, was only delayed by about a year and a half, and that alone suffers from such issues (and more, as his awkward teen phase may have worked a couple of years ago, but believe it or not he appears to have grown out of it now. See Paper Heart).

One very special fan isn't going to allow her beloved program to go out with a whimper, though, and to see it stays current in pop culture, she has written an original play that not only plays homage to the original series but expands upon it and all of its quirky cast of characters.

The play parody by Jackye Swidler picks up where the show left off: Michael is still threatening to leave the family; Oscar and Lucille have started a new financial "hippie" endeavor; Tobias has gotten caught up in a pyramid scheme; and Lindsay has decided she is a lesbian. This week on "Arrested Re-Development." And yes, the play is punctuated by the dry narration we have come to know and love.

Tonight (January 9), Swidler and her cast put on a staged reading of the performance to a couple hundred diehard fans...and a few supporters who had never even seen the show.

Overheard in the row behind me: a man explaining to his female theater companion the meaning behind Lindsay Bluth-Funke's "SLUT" tank top.

The fans obviously got the most out of the play, which banked on call-back references to the "cornballer," "Love, Indubitably," and cut-offs, but many laughs were also had over the zany new situations (Lucille's aforementioned "hippie" turn has her recreationally using something other than alcohol for a change).

The actors portraying Tobias (Wayne Temple), Buster (Brandon Kirk), and Oscar (Michael Halpin) were especially spot-on, but it was Lindsay (Caileigh Scott)'s lines, Lucille (Ashley Knaysi)'s crooked winking, and Gob (James Heaney)'s second act magic show that got some of the loudest crowd reactions.

And I would be remiss to leave out Angela Raskin who took a page from RENT and portrayed multiple ensemble characters, most enjoyably a spiky-wig wearing Lucille 2 that actually rivaled Liza Minnelli's.

Swidler not only wrote the play, but she is directing it and co-starring as Maeby Funke, and her enthusiasm for the material clearly shines through and motivates her team.

Though as of press time there are no details available on the full production dates or ticket sales, rest assured the minute there is, I will update here...after buying a front row seat, of course! The big screen has nothing on a live show!

NYVLive is the first late-night entertainment show performed live on stage in New York City and streamed live on the Internet as original interactive television. It's engaging, silly, unexpected and entertaining. This Promo comes from our first show on May 25th, 2012.

The best that Stage & Screen has to offer - singers, dancers, acrobats, magicians, comedians, specialty-acts, actors, hip-hop, jazz, rap, spoken-word and well even throw in a bit of old school disco. All that AND surprise celebrity guests!

Pilipinas Got Talent Judges Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai delas Alas and Freddie FMG Garcia surely had a hard time trimming down the list of the 220 talented Pinoys to 36 to join the semi-finals round of ABS-CBNs talent-reality show Pilipinas Got Talent. They will again sing, dance, perform and wow the judges and audience starting on Saturday, May 1.

Some of the semi-finalists have become Internet stars with their audition videos garnering as many as 3.5 million views in YouTube, while others have received invitations to perform in various events nationwide, including political rallies.

The 36 Pilipinas Got Talent semi-finalists came from different part of the Philippines, 17 contestants from NCR and Luzon, while 19 from the Visayas and Mindanao.

The Luzon semi-finalists are the Baguio Metamorphosis, Alex Carpena, Powerpuffcorn, Kapidamu Band, Allan De Paz, Markki Stroem, Garrett Bolden Jr., Joel Big Mouth Amper, Ingrid Payaket, Ma. Jeline Oliva, the Velasco Brothers, Reinel Tulabing, the Imusicapella Chamber Choir, Geraldine Fame Flores, Keith Clark Delleva, Ruther Urquia, and Jovit Baldivino.

While Visayas are proud to represent the following, Goldies n Goodies, Jzan Tero, Mae Lozada and Anselmo Estillore, Josephine Aton, Carl Malone Montecido, Manolito Saldivar, Luntayao Family Singers, Jhistine Baguio and Filemon Baguio, and the Snap Boiz.

Pinoys from Mindanao are Harold Gesulga, dance group Hello World, Reggie Ramirez, Florante Castino Inutan, Experience Kidz, Sherwin Baguion, Ezra Band, Rolando Ng III, Xavier University Cultural Dance Troupe, and Rolando Permangil.

Every week, six finalist will be eliminated and only two will be chosen to go through the finals.

The contestant with the highest number of votes is automatically through to the next round. It is then up to the judges to choose who between the second and third placers in the text and online votes will be advancing to the final leg of the competition.

Dont miss the start of the Pilipinas Got Talent semi-finals this Saturday, May 1 live at the AFP Theater, Camp Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City, and on Sunday, May 2 live at ABS-CBN Dolphy Theater Studio 1.

TV3 TALENTED KIDS SEASION 10, selected finalists will be outdoored at the maiden live show on Sunday, March 3.

The winner of this year's competition will walk home with a cash prize of GH¢10,000, a GH¢ 15,000 educational fund, a fun trip to Dubai and souvenirs from sponsors.

The first runner-up will also get GH¢8,000 cash, an educational fund worth GH¢10,000, a trip to Dubai and souvenirs from sponsors.

Second and third runners-up will also walk home with GH¢6,000 and GH¢4,000 respectively as well as souvenirs from sponsors.

All finalists of this year's competition will each walk away with a 32-inch digital television set.

A Source of Joy Theatricals/Broadway In The Hood is a 501c3 non-profit that provides educational training classes in acting, singing, dancing, technical theatre, as well as theatre and production management. Our productions and events are built, cast, and run by youth between the age of 8 - 25 years old. Some of our cast and crewmembers have resided in shelters for battered women, youth and homeless shelters and are former drug dealers, gang bangers and prostitutes. Our focus is inspiring hope as well as giving our cast members the opportunity and tools to move on to higher education and peruse a career in the arts. Our goal is to produce free or low cost community productions and events so that everyone can have access to quality theatre and the arts. We are fully funded by donations, sponsorships and grants.

On April 25, 2018, in the DePaul Student Center, room 120, in Chicago, IL, the DePaul Humanities Center (DHC) hosted “Who Am I Now? The Art of the Con” as part of its yearlong programming series, “The Year of the Fake.”

We are performing our identities at all times, and there is no “true” self beyond such performance. But some of us explore and perfect this way of being with true artistic brilliance. Andy Kaufman performed as Tony Clifton, Foreign Man, and a variety of other personas, once claiming that “Andy Kaufman” was the true fake. Andy’s sister, Carol Kaufman Kerman, joined us to tell stories about what it was like to be in Andy’s family when Andy was exploring who he was and wasn’t. On the eve of his solo show opening at the DePaul Art Museum, we are also were joined by DHC Fellow Zachary Ostrowski—a graphic artist, musician, and performance artist who often performs under the personae of Beverley Fre$h and Mr Midwe$t. The DHC was honored as well to host headliner Alan Abel, the greatest prankster and hoaxer of the past century, who discussed his life of brilliant cons and put-ons. The evening also featured a live musical performance by world-renowned tenor Luciano Pavarotti—and an eventful Q&A.

Magician Roy Horn, who alongside Siegfried Fischbacher starred in a popular, long-running Las Vegas act built around rare tigers, died on May 8 from of complications of COVID-19, the Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper reported. He was 75.
Fischbacher and Horn, who were both born in Germany, co-founded their stage act after meeting on a cruise ship in the late 1950s before bringing the show to Las Vegas in 1967 and performing for the next four decades.
Horn was seriously injured in 2003 when he was mauled by a white tiger during a performance at the Mirage hotel in Las Vegas on his 59th birthday. The attack ended their show on the Las Vegas strip but the pair continued to make public appearances.
The Stranglers' keyboard player Dave Greenfield died age 71 on May 3, after testing positive for COVID-19 in hospital.
An announcement on the veteran British punk rock band's official website said Greenfield had been admitted to for heart problems, but tested positive on April 26. The band who had hits with "Golden Brown" and "No More Heroes" survived the fallout by constantly changing direction without losing its distinctive sound.
Greenfield joined the year-old band in 1975 when punk rock came kicking, screaming, and spitting into London in the late 1970s, but the whole era was washed away within two years in a hedonistic cocktail of drink, drugs and attitude.
On May 1 The Stranglers, who had hits with "Golden Brown" and "No More Heroes", announced on Twitter that they were cancelling their summer 2020 gigs due to the coronavirus pandemic.
British rapper Ty died May 7 after contracting pneumonia while recovering from coronavirus, according a statement by friend Diane Laidlaw on a fundraising page set up for the musician in April.
The Mercury Prize nominee for album "Upwards" who was in a "medically induced coma to temporarily sedate to help his body receive the appropriate treatment" contracted the virus earlier in the year, but "ultimately Ty's body couldn't fight back anymore", said Laidlow.
Madonna leads a host of stars who have said they caught COVID-19.
The singer-songwriter made the statement in a "Quarantine Diaries" video on her Instagram account, saying she took a test and found out she had the antibodies.
"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" actor Tony Shalhoub said he and wife, actress Brooke Adams have had a "rough few weeks" on Seth MacFarlane's online "The At-Home Variety Show".
The OK Go lead singer Damian J. Kulash wrote in an open letter to fans that his symptoms were "genuinely scary for a day and a half" but his wife was briefly hospitalized.

How to do a magic trick in Tagalog

I tried to do magic; it's HARD!

This is just an example of how you do magic in Filipino (Tagalog). I thought of giving this a try after seeing a video of this young Korean man Jiwan Kim auditioning for Pilipinas Got Talent 2018.

For me, he just needs more practice. Based on the video, he can already speak Taglish (Tagalog + English). His accent is pretty good too. Did you hear the reactions from the audience when he was trying to speak Tagalog? After that audition, I'm sure you already a lot of Filipino hearts. What more if you speak Tagalog on your next performance?

Again, Jiwan Kim just needs more practice. If he really wants to win Pilipinas Got Talent and the hearts of Filipinos, all he needs is practice. Trust me! It will be more appealing for the Filipino audience if he can perform his magic in Tagalog.

Global Syndicate perform "Wut Coast" live @ Venue Nightclub from their highly anticipated Mixtape "From The Ashes" When I first recorded this video and posted it, the sound quality was extremely poor, all you could hear was base so I edited the video and looped their track over top of it. Much support and love go out to Dough P and Lala of Global Syndicate of Black Phoenix Artists.
Global Syndicate, the name soon to rock a nation, and tremble airwaves . Straight from the money making avenues of Vancouver, GS is made up of three, the Hustler, the Killer and the Dope Dealer, two brothers Dough-P & LaLa, and comrade Profa-C-Los. Dough-P & LaLa recently signed to their first management contract (Black Phoenix Artist Management), have over-come the same odds and reality that most major urban body young adults do.

Born in California, but raised in East Vancouver, life has always seemed to be an extraordinary task. But they were always able to find the greater good at times in life, due to always circulating themselves around Music and a brilliant street-up-bringing. The habitat of Vancouver is not what most would make this city out to be, surrounded by organized crime families, filthy ports, and an underground hip-hop connection that only the strong survive, and the weak turn into backpack rappers.
Music was their way to express the brother's struggle, desire, fight and passion.

Living below the poverty line, coming from broken homes and trying to defy all odds, the brothers always seemed to have their back up against the wall. The legacy
was written as so, Dough-P and LaLa were set out to be DJ's before MC's, but due to the cupboards being bare, family situations being tight and school not paying the
bills. The brothers needed a way to express their anxiety and struggle. The Vaivaka boys, having been laying the foundation for success for years, having
the opportunity to hit the mic and layout un-published tracks like Pac. The two were destine for bright lights, big stages and brilliant futures. At the age of __
(Dough P) and ___ (LaLa) the boys recorded their first mixtape ( Vancouver's Best kept secret) With the taste of pure raw struggle, and a way to keep their nose clean,
the boys knew from the get go that being in the studio was the route to follow. As the years progressed, and knowledge developed, music seemed to more a reality then
a dream. Both bothers knew that if they never took the leap towards their dreams, then a casket or a jail cell was going to be their future.

With a strong management squad, excellent relationship consisting of hard work, support and dedication, Global Syndicate was able to open up for the up-rising star DJ Whoo Kid, and recently just got off a 11 date western Canada tour with the "Chef" himself Raekwon from the legendary Wu-Tang Clan. Now having the hype of a nation behind us, the whole Black Phoenix family has returned back from tour and are grinding to work on their next mixtape, and prepare for their 2 upcoming cross Canada tours. Jumping of spring with the first tour starting in March with Slim Shady's comrades D12, and then in May rocking the whole nation, an across Canada tour with Fat Joe and the Terror Squad. The Black Phoenix family is hard at work t GS, to direct the sheep into the right path.
In conclusion, The Brothers Dough P, LaLa and their comrade Profa-C-Los have travelled a journey not many men get to discover, better yet dream of. They highly appreciate and cherish anyone and everyone who have ever lent a hand, helped or given us a chance to live their dream. With the support and opportunities Global Syndicate ceases to exist. Special thanks goes out to the Writepath team for all their contributions and direction, EASTINFECTION for pioneering and setting the foundation for the East Van street scene and making it easier for GS to come up. Got Talent Global brings together the very best in worldwide talent, creating a central hub for fans of the show to keep up to date with the other sensational performances from around the world.

The day has come! After months of preparation and two Semi-Finals, acts from 26 countries will compete in the Grand Final of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. The result will be determined by a combination of expert juries and viewers from all 41 participating countries. The show will feature special guest performances from reigning Eurovision queen Netta, former winners Dana International, Conchita Wurst and Måns Zelmerlöw, as well as Eurovision icon Verka Serduchka. And... earlier this week we could also confirm that Madonna will perform as guest star during the show!

The Grand Final of the 64th Eurovision Song Contest is brought to you by the European Broadcasting Union and Israeli public broadcasting corporation KAN. The show will be hosted by Bar Refaeli, Erez Tal, Assi Azar and Lucy Ayoub, live from Expo Tel Aviv.

Tonight's 26 competing acts
Tonight's Grand Final will see acts from 26 countries compete for the title of 2019 Eurovision Song Contest winner. They represent the 10 countries with the highest points from each of the two Semi-Finals that took place earlier this week, along with the 'Big Five' — France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom — and host nation Israel.

You can vote for your favorite songs if you are in one of the 41 participating countries, regardless of whether your country made it through the Semi-Finals.

The opening act
After her victory last year, the honor of opening the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest falls to last year's winner Netta Barzilai. She will get the party started along with Israel's previous Eurovision winner, Dana International and Israel's first ever Eurovision representative, Ilanit.

As has become a tradition since the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, the Grand Final will open with a flag parade to introduce the 26 competing entrants before the Eurovision Song Contest begins.

The interval act
Switch song
As was already announced last month at the host broadcaster press conference, a special 'switch song' act is planned for the Grand Final featuring former Eurovision winners and runners up:

Conchita will sing Måns Zelmerlöw's Heroes (Sweden 2015)

Måns Zelmerlöw will sing Eleni Foureira's Fuego (Cyprus 2018)

Eleni Foureira will sing Verka Serduchka's Dancing Lasha Tumbai (Ukraine 2007)

Verka Serduchka will perform Netta's Toy (Israel 2018)

At the end all four artists will join Gali Atari on stage to perform her 1979 winning song, Hallelujah.

Netta goes bananas
Just before time runs out on Netta's reign as Eurovision Queen, she will perform her new song Nana Banana. If you want to sing along, there's still time to learn the words in Netta's lyric video.

Please give it up for... Madonna!
International pop icon Madonna will perform 2 songs during the Grand Final of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest on 18 May: Her 1989 smash hit 'Like A Prayer' and a world exclusive of brand-new single 'Future', which she will perform together with American rapper Quavo.

He has been working since 2008 as a professional beatboxer.By the end of 2017, Vineeth has over 1250 shows in his credit. Held two titles, one for Guinness Book of World Records, and one for Limca book of world records.
