#04 Bloggers that charge Rs. 5000. Don't.

Jut to be clear, this is not an attack on the blogger at all. I've been in this blogger's shoes so I am the last person who will attack another blogger who just doesn't know yet how valuable their work is. No one told me when I started blogging because there was no one else doing what I was doing. But there are lots of bloggers in the lifestyle space now and there are more avenues for this conversation to happen between each other. Talk to other bloggers, not everyone is open about how they work and how much they charge but some are. I am. But you have to ask.

The best advice I can give you is that regardless of how much you "think" you should charge, don't pull numbers out of thin air. Rs. 50,000 might be something that a brand might not be willing to pay to even a blogger like me because my blog's content or my language or my image or whatever doesn't align with their brand's image. If you believe you know more than me ( I'm always hungry to talk with someone who knows more than I do or someone who can bring a different perspective to the table), let's meet and record a video together to dispel myths about blogging and monetization. But let's DO something about this. It's ALWAYS girl bloggers who pull out crazy low numbers for how much they charge for their blog posts and they always give away too much value without receiving an equivalent monetary benefit in return.
