2014: Year of Extreme Weather and Climate Events

It's been a rough year, meteorologically speaking, on the Blue Marble. We've seen record heat , record snow , record flooding , record drought , rising sea levels and super typhoons — and extreme climate events are expected to continue unless humans take action to reduce emissions and lower the planet's temperature.
