On the night of May 17, 2017, Chris Cornell committed suicide by hanging himself in a Detroit hotel room, just hours after his band Soundgarden had performed. He was 52 years old. It’s another tragic loss for the music community, and today we just want to take some time to look back at some of our favorite Chris Cornell moments. He’ll be remembered for his music with Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog, and as a solo artist, but some of his finest work came when he was covering other artists.
