This video highlights how and why the Mazda 787B is such a legendary car.

When Mazda entered into the 1991 24 hour Le Mans race, It's Mazda 787B with the Wankel 4 rotor engine was untested and very much the underdog, But the 4 rotor engine from Mazda (R26B) would prove to be very reliable.
As the other competitors would drop out due to various problems the Mazda team was able to continue to the end.
It was later said after testing that the Wankel R26B engine could have continued for another 24 hours.
