Here's a great version of what is by far Dylan's most tragic song. The first time I heard it, the story reminded me of some dismal, disastrous Stephen King psychological thriller. Despite it's depressing nature, it is a masterpiece of folk music. This is the last performance of "Hollis Brown" until 1974. Furthermore, it is a rather unknown and mysterious version; it isn't even listed on Bob Dylan's website.

This was recorded at BBC Studios in London on June 26, 1965 for a television broadcast. Unfortunately, only the audio exists to this day, and the video is considered lost.

Fun fact about the second photograph: This is the only known visual of Dylan playing on the Les Crane show in February 1965. The audio of this appearance still exists, and is uploaded on my channel ("It's All Over Now, Baby Blue," a very insightful interview, and "It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)").
