Towards the end of January, it was reported that Empire actor Jussie Smollett was reportedly the victim of a racist and homophobic attack.<br />Now, it appears that Smollett arranged the whole attack to save his floundering entertainment career.<br />If true, this would be a devastating blow for people of color and the LGBTQ community.<br />Experts say the communities, often marginalized, would lose credibility and real attacks would be met with skepticism.
