Drawing his inspiration from artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, CSN, The Rolling Stones, The Police, and Buffalo Springfield, Stills has developed a blend of rock, folk and blues inspired by the '60s. Stills has also collaborated with the Jayhawks and Ryan Adams.
