Coronavirus: China bans citizens from leaving their homes | DW News
The Coronavirus death toll has now passed 1,700. WHO experts have arrived in Beijing to talk with their Chinese counterparts on how to deal with the outbreak.
The total number of cases of so-called COVID-19 in the Asian country, most of them in the central province of Hubei, has surpassed 70,000, according to the latest update from the country's National Health Commission. DW confirmed that Xiaogan in Hubay province is using tight new restrictions. Residents there are not being permitted to leave their homes or to use their private vehicles.
