Elton John is a dad!

<p><br /> Elton John and his partner David Furnish have become the proud parents of a baby boy.<br /> </p><p><br /> Their new son, named Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, was born to a surrogate in California on Christmas Day.<br /> </p><p><br /> The baby boy is the first child for the couple, who have been together since the early 1990s and have spoken openly about their desire to adopt.<br /> </p><p><br /> Speaking to US Weekly, the pair said: "We are overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment. Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents."<br /> </p><p><br /> The couple had previously tried to adopt an orphan in Ukraine last year, but were thwarted by government regulations.<br /> </p>
