Very happy tune upbeat reggae pop tune , with an underlying message that we started in Africa and we are nearing the end of the line - Falling from Africa unless we can change our ways. as Men and Women on this planet. this beautiful planet.
Originally the song idea was about the plane journey as you came into Durban South Africa, you flew along the Indian Ocean to land at Durban's old airport. The term aquiline and aqua line, has a double meaning - in the song it refers to the nose of the plane turning in to land - and the aqua coloured coast-line below. The lyrics - sailing down caught in a spin are also coming into land.
But the songs meaning changed over the years and words like nearing the end , taking us back again to where we were from - meaning the beginning of man and woman and the plight we have made.
and the middle section about knowing where we are going to. man time falling from Africa.
