For A WHOLE DAY I ONLY Ate SINGAPOREAN FOOD BLOGGERS Favorite LOCAL HAWKER STALLS
Hey everybody, first off I want to correct an error, as I said steamed chicken at Leong Yeow Chicken Rice, but I do believe this restaurant is poaching so I am sorry for the error. I guess my thoughts were cloudy from being in food heaven!
Alright, so first off was a Laksa place which you didn’t get to see. Wow, just on overall well balanced laksa and for only $3SGD you should check it out. Just make sure to come early.
Now, where the video started! Leong Yeow Chicken Rice was the first spot and sometimes I should really just learn to listen. I should have skipped the roasted chicken and loaded up on the Hainanese Chicken and Char Siew!!
Next up, I headed to Zion Food Center for two hawker stalls! Nothing like being efficient. I started with mixed carrot cake, uncle is doing a really good carrot cake, I can see why his white carrot cake has gained attention as it is nice and crispy from the egg.
High heat smokeyness, saucy, umami bomb fried noodles. That is how I would explain Zion Road Char Kuay Teow. Some of the best fried noodles I have had in a long time. Not to mention the perfectly done egg, plethora of ingredients, and double noods.
Lasty, I went to Ah chuan for the oyster omelette. This husband and wife team has been putting in the years of work and it has paid off as they are making a fabulous oyster omelette. Greasy, crunchy coating, tangy and sweet chili sauce, with a nice fresh burst of oyster. It really is hard to do an oyster omelette much better than this.
