Glen Rice Sets All-Star Game Records for Most Points in Quarter, Half (1997)

February 9, 1997 - Charlotte Hornets forward Glen Rice caught fire during the third quarter of the 1997 NBA All-Star Game and ended up snapping numerous All-Star records along the way. Rice hit four consecutive three pointers en route to scoring 20 points and breaking Hal Greer's previous quarter mark of 19. Rice then sat the majority of the fourth quarter before re-entering and scoring the four necessary points to eclipse Wilt Chamberlain's record for most points in a single half of All-Star play (23). Rice would be named the All-Star Game MVP.
