He made his debut when <br />he anonymously uploaded <br />songs to YouTube under his <br />stage name in 2010. He later released mixtapes House of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence in 2011. The Weeknd signed with Republic Records and also created his own record label, XO.
