I really think it's awesome when I discover something on accident! I never thought about how little bugs handle events that greatly disturb their immediate surroundings. They're low mass, therefore they are influenced by their environment WAY more than we are. Also, just think about the processing power that is in the Fly's brain! And such a small package too!

The high speed camera used was a Phantom V10. Rent one yourself by clicking here: http://bit.ly/wQPlHd

In this video, I mention that the fly uses his center of gravity to realign himself. The high speed video must be analyzed further to determine if he was rotating over faster than acceleration due to gravity.

I make videos to raise money for my kids' college education. I have 3 kids and plan on spending the next 10 years contributing to the public body of knowledge and helping you learn! If you'd like to give back via a microscholarship, click here: http://bit.ly/KidsCollege

Instead of saving for my kids' college, I make videos using the money I would have saved.
The thought is it will help educate the world as a whole, and one day generate enough revenue to pay for their education. Until then if you appreciate what you've learned in this video and the effort that went in to it, please share the video. If you REALLY liked it, feel free to pitch a few dollars towards their college fund by clicking here:

Warm Regards,
