How To Create Toon Style Animation In Blender

My original plan for this tutorial was to partner again with my Russian friends over at VideoSmile.ru and to translate a cartoon style tutorial in Cinema 4D by Mikhail Bychkov. I had a strong desire to switch gears and to recreate this cartoon style animation inside a free 3D software called Blender. You heard me right... FREE!
Isn't Blender for amateurs?
The answer is NO! Blender is very powerful and it's loaded with a lot of useful features. You can see the full list of all the features at https://www.blender.org/features/.
Why should I be learning Blender when it's not an industry standard for motion graphics? Wouldn't that be a waste of my time?
I think everyone should learn more than one tool. It's not only healthy for your growth, but it also makes you more marketable. 3D is 3D no matter what tool/software you use. Cinema 4D is my main software for motion graphics, but I do catch myself using Blender more often. I do have Blender installed on my work box since it's free and very quick to download/install. The cool thing about Blender is that you don't even have to install it on your computer, you can just run it from your flash drive. I use Blender for things like UV Unwrap, Fluid/Smoke Simulation, and Modeling. What I'm trying to say is this, you can use more than one tool to get work done faster.
