Follow iACT during an anti-colorum operation near Megamall. There have been a lot of complaints about colorum vehicles operating out of this area.

For those vehicles that have removed or hidden their plates, added flashing emergency lights and super dark tint to all windows, I think they should be immedetely impounded.

What do you think?

Without any plate or conduction sticker, it's impossible to identify the vehicle from the outside. It's also impossible to perform non-contact apprehensions for coding, bus lane etc.

The emergency ilghts are often used to intimidate other roads users and deter enforcers from stopping the vehicle.

Many people argue the colorum business is so big because the LTFRB won't give franchises. On the flip side I've heard the reason they wont give franchises is because they want to encourage people to use mass public transport like buses and trains.

A more recent argument is that many new TNCs (Grab/Uber competitors) are being accredited while their private vehicles typically carry 2-3 people. But a van which carries 14 people can't get franchised.

Putting aside the reasons for why there are so many colorum vehicles on the road, it doesn't explain why they drive as if they're on some kind of emergency mission, with hidden plates, emergency lights, wangwangs, counterflowing and refusing to stop for enforcers.
