On Monday, a jury in California ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay $417 million to a woman who says she developed ovarian cancer after using the company's talc-based products for feminine hygiene. The Los Angeles Superior Court jury's verdict alleges J&J failed to adequately warn consumers of cancer risks that could stem from use of the products. The verdict is said to be a major setback for Johnson & Johnson, which faces nearly 5,000 similar claims nationwide.
