At the final 2012 London Olympic Games qualification tournament in India, Juliane Schenk bagged a hat-trick win over China's world number 3 Wang Shixian in the quarter-finals and then outplayed uprising Chinese talent Chen Xiaojia in the semi-final. The German has beaten the Chinese ace twice during the Olympic qualification period in 2011. Schenk credits the Chinese winning mentality for their prowess in women's singles.
