India's Kashyap Parupalli has nabbed the golden ticket to the 2012 Olympic Games after entering the semi-final of his home Superseries event, 2012 Yonex-Sunrise India Open, which is also the final 2012 Olympic Games qualification tournament. However, the Indian missed out on the golden opportunity to make the men's singles final at home after losing to Korea's Shon Wan Ho 14-21 21-19 16-21.
