Kwek-kwek is one of my favorite street foods. It is boiled quail eggs, coated with orange flour mixture and deep-fried. It is often sold together with fishballs, kikiam and tokneneng (the bigger version using chicken egg).

Today, I'm going to show you how I cook kwek-kwek.

INGREDIENTS:

20 pcs. quail eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 cup water
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp. orange food color or atsuete powder
more cornstarch for coating
