LinkedIn Steps Further Into News As Facebook Steps Away

As Facebook has begun to distance itself from news, LinkedIn is charging ahead in its embrace.<br />LinkedIn's editor-in-chief, Dan Roth, told Business Insider, the professional social network has hired the Bloomberg deals editor Devin Banerjee to lead its finance coverage. Banerjee helped oversee coverage of mergers and acquisitions in North America at Bloomberg. He tweeted about his departure from Bloomberg on Thursday.<br />Roth said LinkedIn is also continuing to expand its newsroom globally. <br />
