So, what is up with the NHL in Asia?! Oh, and I AM GOING TO JAPAN TODAY!

The big questions: do you think that the NHL not sending their players will have an impact on the growth of hockey in these countries? Do you think it is important for the sport to be able to reach these markets?

With the upcoming Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang and also Beijing in 2022, hockey is sure to be making a big push in Asia. This week we take a look how hockey in Asia got to be where it is today. Also included is me mispronouncing Japanese and South Korean team names.

Hockey definitely has a long way to go in these countries, but the culture in these areas would seem to fit in well with traditional hockey culture.

As always, I'd love to know your thoughts! Be sure to let me know in the comments below :)
