Pasig City Odd-Even Scheme Removed

On his first day in Office, Mayor Vico Sotto has followed through on his promise to remove the odd-even traffic scheme in Pasig City.

He also mentioned a potential crackdown on illegal parking on major thoroughfares as part of a bigger plan to improve the flow of traffic inside Pasig City.

I also took a quick look at their command center and found out they already have some “smart city” elements. Such as sensors built into some roads that can detect the volume and flow of traffic which could then be used to adjust traffic light timings to reduce congestion on certain roads.
