R.U.N live action thriller by Cirque du Soleil
Touted as “the first live action thriller by Cirque du Soleil”, R.U.N was written by Hollywood producer and director Robert Rodriguez. He was behind such films like El Mariachi (1992), Desperado (1994), the Spy Kids movie series, Sin City (2005) and Planet Terror (2007).
R.U.N is also the first time a full narrative and script is used in a Cirque du Soleil production.
What makes R.U.N different is the use of motorcycle stuntmen, martial arts exponents and pyrotechnic performers rather than the circus-style acts, as highlighted in an article written by Lisa Fung and published in the Los Angeles Times in October 2019.
R.U.N by Cirque du Soleil is playing the R.U.N theatre at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas located in the state of Nevada in the United States.
