A short story of the Red Baron
Accompany the Red Baron, Manfred von Richthofen, credited with 80 victories. During World War I, the Red Baron was a fighter pilot with the German Air Force and received the Pour le Mérite, the highest military honor in Germany at the time. Richthofen had his warplane painted red when he became a squadron commander. The Red Baron was a celebrity of his time, incredibly popular both among the Triple Alliance and the Triple Entente. He received a fatal wound on April 21, 1918, and was buried in the cemetery at the village of Bertangles, France, where both his allies and his enemies paid their respects to him.
