The Weeknd Donated $250K To Black Lives Matter

The Weeknd has been donating to some charitable causes recently. The Grammy award winning singer donated $250,000 dollars to the Black Lives Matter movement. Just recently, The Weeknd, who is also known as Abel Tesfaye, also donated $38,000 dollars to the University of Toronto to establish an Ethiopian studies program. Both of The Weeknd's parents are from Ethiopia. Black Lives Matter was founded in 2013 and advocates for justice and freedom for African Americans.
