Namaste, Greetings from Shirish & Pooja.
Welcome to "A Story of Corn'..!
Monsoon is nearing up to the Southern coast of Maharashtra and so is the harvesting season of Various summer crops e. g. Corn. Pooja went to our farm to harvest Corns this morning.
She plucked few corns, returned home and handed the corn over to me to peel them.
We had boiled corn and grilled corn for breakfast and decided to prepare 'Maka ani Aluche Fatfatey" (Corn and Colocasia leaves gravy) for lunch which is very tasty when prepared with tamarind, jaggery, peanuts and grated coconut.
Pooja Served the gravy for lunch with Steamed rice (Ukda bhat) and mangoes also rice fryums.
The lunch was very tasty and Pooja decided to take this Corn odyssey till tea time.
She started preparing tea time Snack called "Crispy corn chili".. which is spicy and salted to taste.
This evening a little guest joined us, my cousin brother who just came at our place for Vacation.
Our pet dog 'Mowgli' also joined us and looked like he too liked the Snack.
