WHAM TV Bright Spot - Camp Broncho Power

On Thursday, August 18, 13 WHAM TV in Rochester featured Camp Broncho Power as its bright spot during the six o'clock newscast. The camp is for children ages 6-11 with asthma, who may otherwise miss out on summer activities. The camp is staffed by Rochester Regional Health physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, respiratory therapists, health educators and social workers. For 23 years, Camp Broncho Power has offered an outdoor overnight summer camp for children with asthma. The camp provides typical summer camp activities such as swimming, arts and crafts and hiking in addition to workshops and education to help children learn how to better control their asthma.
