I was fortunate enough to be the MC and host of the Verizon APAHM Tour (Asian Pacific American Heritage Month) headlined by B.A.P. (Shout out to TD Wang!) We traveled to four cities, LA, SF, DC, and NY. Each show was sold out in minutes. I've been to many rock and hip hop concerts my whole life and these concerts were some of THE LOUDEST, EAR PIERCING concerts I've ever been to. I think I went deaf.

What I love about the Hallyu Kpop movement is how multi-cultural it is. In every city, more than half the girls (sometimes 80%) were non Asian and it blew my mind. It was beautiful to see actually. So many different cultures coming together to have fun. And SO many parents and grandparents who drove and flew their teenage/college kids from all over the country, some internationally, so their kids could scream their head off at talented, pretty boy singer/dancers with six pack abs. lol

Every show I started the show off with "How many of you think Korean guys are sexy?" and the crowd was SO LOUD I though I was dreaming. Surreal. But definitely real. KPOP is rocking right now and many people don't know.

Many KPOP Fans are lovers of fun music and some KPOP fans are outcasts in their school but they find a common bond through choreographed dancing, learning a new language (SO MANY Non Koreans sing Korean so well... I'm so proud), and bonding through a sub culture that is spreading all over the world because of Youtube and channels like Mnet, Myx, MTVK, Pacific Rim Video, and sites like AllKpop and Kpopstarz.

Can't stop, won't stop, KPOP is here to stay.

Let's enjoy the wave. I'm lovin it.

Special Thanks to STEVE LIM for filming. CHRISTIAN OH for editing. William and Alice from Verizon. Ann and Justin from Mnet. Tim, Henry, Victoria, Serena, and fam from TD Wang. And everyone else who worked so hard on the highly successful Tour!
