Cheesy Palitaw Balls Recipe
Ingredients
3 cups Glutinous Rice Flour (Malagkit)
1 1/4 cup Water
1 cup Grated Coconut (Niyog)
1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Toasted Sesame Seeds
Cheese cubes, for filling
Water for boiling
Procedure
1. In a bowl combine glutinous rice flour and water. Mix until you form a dough. Knead dough with clean hands until smooth.
2. Scoop 1/2 tablespoon of the mixture and flatten the dough with the palm of your hands. Put cheese cube at the center and shape into a ball. Repeat process until you finish all the mixture.
3. Boil a pot of water and drop each palitaw balls. Cook until the palitaw ball floats into the surface. Remove from water using a slotted spoon and drain.
4. Roll palitaw balls in grated coconut and sprinkle with sugar-sesame mixture when you're ready to serve it since sugar melts over time.
5. You can place cheesy palitaw balls in a plate, bilao or in clear plastic container with banana leaves if you want to sell it.
