Christina Aguilera files for divorce

<p><br /> After five years of marriage, Christina Aguilera has filed for divorce.<br /> </p><p><br /> The Dirrty singer, who married music executive Jordan Bratman in a lavish ceremony in November 2005, listed 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason.<br /> </p><p><br /> News broke earlier this week that the couple had been living apart for a few months but that they had not yet decided about their future together.<br /> </p><p><br /> However less than 48 hours later, divorce papers have been drawn up with September 11 2010 listed as the date of separation.<br /> </p><p><br /> It is thought there is a prenup in place.<br /> </p><p><br /> Jordan, 33, and Christina, 29, have a two-year-old son together called Max.<br /> </p><p><br /> The singer told People magazine: "Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever."<br /> </p>
