Duke Fraternity's 'Asian' Themed 'Racist Rager'
"Students at Duke University are planning a rally on Wednesday to protest a themed fraternity party that some are calling a "racist rager."
Photos from the party—held by Kappa Sigma on Friday—posted to Facebook showed students in traditional Asian attire. An email invite included stereotypical misspellings ("Herro," "Chank You") and an image from the film "Team America: World Police."*
The Kappa Sigma fraternity held an 'Asian' themed party filled with an invitation with words like "Herro" and "Chank You" and other stereotype-charged language on it, despite facing objections. The university's Asian Students Association has said they found it offensive and want to make sure these types of parties don't happen at the school again. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian discuss.
