How to Cook Puto Bumbong Recipe

Puto Bumbong Recipe is a rice cake usually sold during Christmas time in the Philippines. This is cooked without the traditional bamboo steamer.

Ingredients

3 cups glutinous rice
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup purple yam
violet food color
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup fresh grated coconut
1/2 cup brown sugar
