sapin2x ingredients:

2 1/2 cups glutinous rice powder
2 cups coconut milk
1 cup white sugar
150ml condensed milk
1 tbsp ube flavor
1/2 tbsp violet food color
1/2 cup powdered milk (optional)

Maja ingredients:

2 1/2 cup cornstarch
1 1/2 cup evaporated milk
3/4 cup all purpose cream
2 1/2 cup white sugar
400g cream style corn(more if needed)
3/4 cup powdered milk
6 tbsp butter
7 cups water
165g cheese, for toppings

Sapin2x procedure:

1) Bring water to a boil
2) Combine coconut milk, glutinous rice, white sugar, powdered milk and condensed milk
3) Add ube flavor and violet food color
4) Pour 3/4 cup sapin2x mixture into the llanera
5) Steam for 10-15 min. over medium heat
6) Remove from steamer and cool completely

Maja procedure:

1) Dilute cornstarch with 1 cup water and set aside
2) Combine remaining water, cream style corn, powdered milk and butter. Mix well and bring to a boil
3) Add evaporated milk, all purpose cream and white sugar. Mix well and bring to a boil
4) Turn the heat to low and gradually add dissolved cornstarch
5) Cook until thickened


1) Transfer maja on top of the sapin2x
2) Cool completely. Cover and chill overnight
3) Transfer maja sapin2x into the clear packs
4) top with grated cheese
