(Steamed Cake)
Filipino Steamed Cake is a type of steamed cake usually made from rice flour and a Filipino favorite snack. But in this recipe we used flour instead of rice flour and it taste great! It’s so soft and fluffy. I made them in mini sizes so it’s easy to eat and I find it cute with the addition that I liked my steamed cake in purple and yellow color so I mix-in some color on it, but you can leave it plain white.

Filipino Steamed Cake is also a perfect pair for savory dishes such as pancit and dinuguan.

5. Put cheese on top of the batter before steaming if you’re using regular cheese to give it more time to melt a bit. If you’re using quickmelt cheese put it only when it’s already cooked and steam for another 1 minute.
6. Cover steamer with lid wrap in cloth or cheese cloth to avoid water dripping in the mixture.
7. Steam for 10 minute in low heat. Remove from steamer and let it cool before removing from the silicone cups.

Enjoy!
