Veg Manchurian Recipe is an Indo-Chinese Recipe made using Cabbage, Carrots and Capsicum par-boiled to create a golden color ball, tossed in enough garlic and dark soy sauce and other herbs

Veg Manchurian Recipe | Chinese Recipes

Ingredients for Veg Manchurian Balls | Gobi Manchurian Balls

01 Cup Grated Cabbage (250 gms)

1/4 Cup Grated Carrots

1/6 Cup Grated Capsicum

01 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder

1/2 tsp Ajinomoto (MSG)

01 tbl Spoon Corn Flour

01 tbl Spoon All Purpose Flour

500 ml Vegetable Cooking Oil


Ingredients for Veg Manchurian Sauce | Gobi Manchurian Sauce

03 tbl Spoons of Vegetable Cooking oil

01 inch Ginger

05 Cloves Garlic

02 Green Chillies

03 Bulbs of Spring Onions

150 ml Water

1/4 tsp Black Pepper Powder

1/4 tsp Ajinomoto (MSG)

1/2 tsp Sugar

1/2 Cup Corn Flour Thickner

01 tbl Spoon Tomato Sauce

01 tbl Spoon Red Chilli Sauce

1/4 tbl Spoon Dark Soy Sauce

01 tbl Spoon White Vinegar

1/4 tsp Salt

1/6 Cup Green Stalks of Spring Onion

Cooking Instructions

1) Par boil Cabbage, Carrots and Capsicum in Salted Water.

2) Pass the above mixture through a sieve and discard the water, once the Cabbage, Carrots and Capsicum cool down slightly, press them between your palms and extract the moisture.

3) Secure the Cabbage, carrots and Capsicum, discard the water you extracted from them, to this extracted mixture now add Black Pepper Powder, Ajinomoto, Corn Flour, All Purpose Flour and mix thoroughly, and created small round balls out of this mixture.

4) Deep fry these balls in Vegetable cooking oil at a medium flame for 4-5 minutes, extract and secure these balls on a kitchen towel, keep aside to add later to the Veg manchurian / Gobi Manchurian sauce.

5) To prepare the sauce, add oil to a pan borrowing from the vessel in which you deep fried the Veg manchurian balls, once the oil is hot enough add all the ingredients mentioned above in the Ingredients for Veg Manchurian / Gobi Manchurian Sauce section, while cooking at a high flame.

6) Finally add the Veg Manchurian balls and toss them in the Veg Manchurian / Gobi Manchurian sauce prepared above and serve hot with steam / veg fried / chicken fried rice or noodles of your choice, enjoy :)
