The most reliable clinical sign to detect ascites is checking for bilateral flank dullness. If a patient with ascites is lying supine, fluid accumulates in the flank regions, leading to dullness on percussion. At the same time, the air-filled bowel loops are forced upwards by the free fluid due to buoyancy, resulting in tympanitic percussion. To locate specifically where dullness shifts to tympany, or the air-fluid level, percussion should be performed from the sides towards the middle. To confirm that the dullness is caused by ascites, ask the patient to switch to a lateral decubitus position. If ascites is present, the air-filled bowel loops will shift accordingly and remain at the surface of the fluid. As a result, the air-fluid level will shift as well. This is known as shifting dullness.

I Bought The MOST EXPENSIVE REPLICA AIR JORDAN 1 TRAVIS SCOTT, THIS Is What I Got...

Sneaker replicas have become a problem. Like really getting into the mainstream light and costing more than the authentic pairs at retail. The fakes are so close to the authentic that I am positive people are tricked into buys fake pairs thinking they are real. We have heard authenticators like StockX and Goat have been stung authenticating fake pairs as real, sending back real pairs as fake, and even sending back the wrong pairs to sellers who's pairs have been denied. The problem with the open market is obvious. Fake pairs Costing $210 shipped WITH StockX tags (that are fake, signed by Josh Luber the CEO). Then Seller are being shady, reselling the fake pairs as real pairs via ebay, facebook groups, sneakercon, etc, and many times people post prices that are just low enough to get you interested. I am betting some of the fakes are now excepted as real. With resale over $1500 now on the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 Retro High, you can see why this is an issue.

Someone paying $200 for Fake Jordan 1s, selling them for $750, Profiting $500 a pair, meanwhile the buyer was duped into the sale thinking it was a steal, instead was a fake.

Lets just say you are an educated sneakerhead though, and want to buy a pair of fakes because $200 is a better deal than $1500, and you DON'T CARE that they are fake? Well think again before you buy. As I called out in this video, I have had my credit card stolen immediately after using to try and buy a fake pair of sneakers. As a result I had to shut the card down and file fraud reports. The other major risk is the chinese website sellers do not have an official site, and make YOU PAY for the Air Jordan fake sneakers before they ship them! Thats right, if you Western Union these sites, they have 100% no reason to actually send you shoes since you just gave them money without a real transaction.
Also noted, these sites get shut down by Nike / adidas all the time, when you go back to track your order and the site is shut down, you will probably be out your $200 and no product shipped. Definitely a RISKY BUSINESS.

In summary, as I have had the last 7 yrs, the SNEAKER BRANDS need to do better! They need to create an authentic experience that cannot be imitated, and can make the fans consume with confidence.

It's time to visit Shimizu on our Diamond Princess Asia Cruise. This is our second day of our 12 night cruise, during which we'll cover 2800 nautical miles and visit Tokyo, Shimizu, Osaka, Taipei (Keelung), Hong Kong, Nha Trang & Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) Vietnam, and Singapore.
We start off this cruise vlog bright and early in the morning with a stunning view of beautiful Mt Fuji. Jet lag had us both up early, and we lucked out with a truly awesome vista of Mount Fuji. After coffee and a quick breakfast we were off to explore the charming port of Shimizu. We had some fun with the local vendors and townspeople that came out to greet us, and then we headed off to visit the S-Pulse Dream Plaza. S-Pulse Dream Plaza is a shopping center by the seaside where visitors can enjoy shopping, gourmet food and entertainment. It seemed like there was so much to do there. Of course there are the shops and restaurants, but there are other attractions like the Ferris Wheel. From the Dream Sky Ferris Wheel magnificent views of the World Heritage site Mount Fuji can be seen across Suruga Bay on sunny days. There are also fun rides and games for kids. After shopping, and making friends with shopkeepers, it was time for lunch. We were a little nervous about trying to order food in Japanese, but it wasn't a problem at all. Everyone was super nice, and very patient with us. Our port day went by quickly, and before long it was time to return to the ship. The lovely people on shore gave us a beautiful send off, and sadly our time in Shimizu was over. Some days, we like to do it all, but this day was all about NOT having a plan. As the Diamond Princess pulled into this friendly port city, we were immediately amazed by the friendly hospitality of the locals. Many brought their pets to port to greet us, and the send-off musical performance brought tears to my eyes. Despite a severe lack of sleep, this day was one of the sweetest on our Princess Cruises voyage to Asia. Thanks for joining us for this day 1 cruise vlog as we travel to Japan for our Diamond Princess Asia Cruise. We've got much more Asia cruise adventures ahead. Hi Bold Bakers! I have taken three of my best, over-the-top cakes and made them into small batch recipes to yield just four perfect cupcakes. They are the perfect size to fit in a toaster oven, and of course, you can always make them in a regular oven as well. You'll find Red Velvet, Cookie Dough and even a S'mores Cupcake. So let's get baking!

Red Velvet Cupcakes

INGREDIENTS
½ cup plus 2 tbsp (3oz/85g) all purpose flour
¼ cup plus 2 tbsp (3oz/85g) granulated white sugar
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 generous teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg, at room temperature
¼ cup plus 2 tbs vegetable or canola oil
4 tablespoons buttermilk
2 teaspoon red food coloring (good quality)
1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the toaster oven or regular oven to 350oF (180oC)
2. Line a small cupcake tray with 4 cupcake liners*
3. Sift the flour, sugar, cinnamon, cocoa, baking soda and salt into a large bowl. Whisk the ingredients together by hand
4. In another bowl, combine the buttermilk, oil, eggs, vanilla and red food coloring. (add more red food coloring if you want a darker color)
5. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and GENTLY mix the batter just to combine. Do not over mix or beat as this cake can toughen up
6. Pour the batter almost to the top into the prepared cupcake pan and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they are firm in the middle and don’t appear damp. This recipe bakes fast.
7. Once baked, take them out of the tin and cool on a baking rack until cold.
8. Decorate them with some cream cheese frosting.
9. Store the cupcakes at room temperature for up to 3 days. Once decorated store the cupcakes in the fridge. Let them reach room temperature before eating.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes
INGREDIENTS
¼ cup (55g / 2oz) butter, at room temperature
¼ cup (55g / 2oz) caster sugar
1 egg, at room temperature
¼ cup (55G/ 2OZ) flour
1 tsp baking powder
4 tablespoons of cookie dough, rolled into balls

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the toaster oven or regular oven to 350oF (180oC)
2. Line a small cupcake tray with 4 cupcake liners*
3. Place your cookie dough ball into the liner
4. With a hand mixer or by hand cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl until pale.
5. Beat in the egg until combined
6. Mix the flour and baking powder together and then fold it into the butter mix using a large metal spoon
7. Spoon the mixture into the paper cases until they are ¾ full.
8. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they are firm in the middle and don’t appear damp.
9. Store the cupcakes at room temperature for up to 3 days.
10. Decorate them with cookie dough buttercream frosting. (recipe in blog post)
11. Store the cupcakes at room temperature for up to 3 days. Once decorated store the cupcakes in the fridge. Let them reach room temperature before eating.

Best-Ever Chocolate Cupcake
INGREDIENTS
¼ cup (30g/1oz) all-purpose flour
¼ cup (50g/1 ¾ oz) sugar
1 ½ tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ tsp baking soda
⅛ tsp baking powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 tbsp buttermilk*
1 tbsp vegetable oil, or any flavorless oil
1 egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 tbsp freshly brewed hot coffee *
1 cup (around 5 cookies) crushed graham crackers (digestives or other plain cookies)
4 large marshmallows

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the toaster oven or regular oven to 350oF (180oC)
2. Line a small cupcake tray with 4 cupcake liners*
3. Measure 2 tablespoons of Cookie crumbs into each cupcake liner
4. Sift the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into a large bowl. Whisk the ingredients together by hand
5. In another bowl, combine the buttermilk, oil, eggs, vanilla and coffee
6. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and GENTLY mix the batter just to combine. Do not over mix or beat as this cake can toughen up
7. Pour the batter almost to the top into the prepared cupcake pan and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they are firm in the middle and don’t appear damp. This recipe bakes fast.
8. Once baked, take them out of the toaster oven and turn on the broiler (grill) setting
9. Place the marshmallow on top and pop them back in the toaster oven until the marshmallow has toasted and is golden brown, roughly 2-3 minutes
10. Take out and cool before eating. These cupcakes can be made in advance and topped with the marshmallow when ready to eat.
11. Store the cupcakes at room temperature for up to 3 days.

While navigating a difficult relationship between his camera, his friends, and his own past, Bing ultimately weaves a story of generational forgiveness while exploring the precarious gap between childhood and adulthood.

Minding The Gap won the U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award for Breakthrough Filmmaking at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, and is executive produced by veteran documentarian Steve James (The Interrupters, Hoop Dreams). Bing Liu also serves as producer alongside Diane Quon (Life Itself, Hoop Dreams). Hulu and Magnolia Pictures will release the film on August 17, 2018.

Linsey Pollak turns a carrot into a clarinet using an electic drill a carrot and a saxophone mouthpiece, and plays it all in a matter of 5 minutes.

Linsey Pollak is an Australian musician, instrument maker, composer, musical director and community music facilitator. He has recorded 31 albums, toured his solo shows extensively in Europe, Nth America and Asia as well as performing at most major festivals around Australia.

Linsey has devised many large Festival pieces such as "BimBamBoo" and "Sound Forest", as well as collaborating on many music and theatre projects around Australia. He established The Multicultural Arts Centre of WA, and has co-ordinated five Cross-cultural Music Ensembles in three different States. Linsey has also worked as a musical instrument maker for 40 years and has designed a number of new wind instruments as well as specialising in woodwind instruments from Eastern Europe.

This movie was produced and directed by Shin Sang-ok based on the novel by Shim Hoon. The story is about Yeong-shin (Choi Eun-hee) and her companion and lover Dong-hyeok (Shin Yeong-kyun) who is fully devoted to enlightenment of the rural areas. This production was considered a success with its moving storyline. Choi Eun-hee who played the role of Yeong-shin won the best actress award at the first Daejong Film Award and Shin Yeong-kyun won the Leading Actor Award and Heo Jang-kang the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 9th Asian Film Festival. The movie was also remade by producer Lim Kwon-taek starring Kim Hee-ra and Han Hye-sook in 1978.

Today is the last day of our life changing Asia Cruise. On this Diamond Princess cruise we covered 2800 nautical miles and visited Tokyo, Shimizu, Osaka, Taipei (Keelung), Hong Kong, Nha Trang & Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) Vietnam, and Singapore.

We start off this morning's Princess cruise vlog with a quick breakfast in the main dining room as we gear up for a leisurely debarkation. Last night our son came down with a little flu bug, and we had to take him to the medical center. In the end it wasn't too serious, but it did put a damper on the evening. By mid-morning he was feeling much better, and we were all looking forward to seeing Changi Airport in Singapore. It was surprisingly easy to get a taxi from the the port. Our driver was super nice, and his car was pretty fancy. He offered us a city tour for a reasonable price, but the 3 hour minimum put it just out of our budget. The Changi airport is simply amazing. It's beautiful, clean, strangely quiet, and full of friendly staff eager to help. We were there for quite a while, but there was so much to see and do that the time flew by. Our son is a big Harry Potter fan, so we were delighted to see a huge Harry Potter exhibit shortly after we arrived. We may do an entire episode on Changi airport, but for now we'll just give you a peek of some of the outstanding features. There's a butterfly garden, a movie theatre, and tons of restaurants and shops. It is without a doubt the best airport we have ever visited. We really had a good time at the airport, and that is not something we say a lot. The flight home wasn't quite as fun. It was extremely long, but we knew it was going to be rough when we booked it. I mentioned in the beginning of this description that this was a life changing cruise, and while that may seem a little overboard, I stand by it. We spent quality time as a family, and got to experience simply amazing things together. We met wonderful people that made us feel welcome and reassured. Smiles, and laughter instantly broke down language barriers, and we left many ports feeling like we were leaving friends. It feels to me like this was literally an unforgettable cruise that will always be in our hearts. Thank you for joining us for this cruise vlog as we traveled Asia aboard the Diamond Princess.

Department of Climate Change Chief Scientific Advisor, Professor David MacKay FRS, is responsible for ensuring the best science and engineering advice underpins DECC's policy and decision-making.
In addition to his role at DECC, David is Professor of Natural Philosophy in the Department of Physics at the University of Cambridge. He studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge and then obtained his PhD in Computation and Neural Systems at the California Institute of Technology. He returned to Cambridge as a Royal Society research fellow at Darwin College. He is internationally known for his research in machine learning, information theory, and communication systems, including the invention of Dasher -- a software interface that enables efficient communication in any language with any muscle. He has taught Physics in Cambridge since 1995 and he is a Fellow of the Royal Society.
David is the author of the critically acclaimed book, Sustainable Energy — Without the Hot Air, which is intended to help people understand the numbers around sustainable energy.

Dan is one of the creators of Prime Climb, the beautiful, colorful, mathematical board game. He contributes regularly to the New York Times Numberplay blog and hosts Seattle’s Julia Robinson Math Festival annually. In his spare time he performs improv comedy in Seattle.

Lake Sebu Seven Falls - Highest Zipline in Asia (road trip to South Cotabato)
Exploring enchanting Lake Sebu and it' surroundings, specially the Seven Falls (Dongon Falls) with the Highest Zipline in Asia. Lake Sebu is a natural lake located in the municipality of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. It's amazing place with really friendly people and beautiful nature.
The zipline is gorgeous, there is no other comparable in Philippines and even the little ziplines which I saw in Palawan or Mindoro are usually much more expensive than this one which is 250,- ₱ on weekdays / 300,- ₱ on weekends.
Nowadays, easily accessible falls are only falls number 1, 2 and 7. The concrete trail that leads to falls n. 5 and continue to n. 7 is washed out in few places by landslides and is overgrown and deserted. But you can still go there, just be careful because there are lot of snakes. Definitely bring a bolo, I luckily borrowed one from really nice family owning souvenir shop near falls n. 2. They showed us picture of huge king cobra which one of them recently killed and it looked really weird, it had huge scales compare to common king cobra. They said the army was throwing those snakes from helicopters into the area during Marcos era trying to force out the NPA and MNLF from the mountains. It's quite interesting, I would like to try find out more about this topic. Also I would like to get close to falls n. 3, 4 and 6 which was impossible this time because of landslides. So I hope we will go back soon :-) I really miss badly that amazing place, specially now when we are in Manila. These two places are like different worlds :-)

This video tells you some things you MUST know if you are planning a trip to Central Asia.

If you are drawn to travel off the beaten track you will LOVE Central Asia. Central Asia contains the “stan countries” (Kazkhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan…). It really is a beautiful and intrepid place to travel. We thought why not try it as a family with our baby boy? We are going to pack all our clothes into one BIG backpack and head to Central Asia for an epic backpacking trip.

Here are some things that you should consider if you are planning a trip to Central Asia:

Food: Central Asian food can be greasy and lack of fresh fruits and vegetables. Look for small local markets for fresh fruit and veggies. There can also be some great fresh breads from small street bakeries.

Getting around: You can get small minibuses between bigger cities and take trains in some places. However, at other points your only option may be to hitchhike or rent a car. Be aware that any car can act as a taxi in Central Asian - so it is worth checking the price before you take a ride with someone. Some people may let you ride for free if you are willing to wait.

Border crossings overland: Countries can have some strict rules of things like medicines and drones. Uzbekistan is becoming slightly less strict but at present you should still take hotel registration card from everywhere you stay and have them when you exit the country. Turkmenistan is still very strict.

Lack of good info: It is harder to find information to help you plan an itinerary. We hope to fill this gap a little by making lots of quality info-packed videos! :-) We also found https://caravanistan.com/ very handy.

Language: It is definitely worth learning a little Russian - which is spoken throughout central Asia. Numbers and a few friendly phrases will go a long way.

If you do travel to Central Asia, these are some of the things you can LOOK FORWARD to:

Amazing hospitality: Central Asians are very welcoming - warm hospitality is part of their culture
Stunning scenery: Central Asia is home to many lakes and mountain ranges
Avoiding the crowds: If you backpack central Asia you will have many AMAZING places totally to yourself or with very few others. It is AWESOME for the same reason that it is a tough place to travel.

About the nest:
The nest is located at Big Bear Lake, California. It is about 110 feet up in a Jeffrey Pine tree that stands 120 tall. The nest is the current home for Jackie and Shadow, a local bald eagle pair.

Q-When will the eggs hatch?
A-The eggs were laid January 8th & 11th. Normal incubation time is 35 to 42 days. The current eggs are well past the normal hatch dates and therefore not viable.

Q-How long will Jackie and Shadow continue to incubate the eggs?
A-This is the first nest failure for Jackie and Shadow, so we do not know how much longer they are likely to incubate.

Q-What will happen to the eggs now?
A-Eventually, Jackie and Shadow will abandon the eggs. The eggs may deteriorate and become part of the nest or they may be preyed on by predators. The U.S. Forest Service has decided to let nature take its course and will not retrieve the eggs.

Q-How do you tell Jackie and Shadow apart?
A-Jackie is larger than Shadow. Jackie’s beak is both longer and thicker from top to bottom than Shadow’s. Shadow has a few dark streaks at the end of his tail feathers.

Q-How can the eagles handle the cold temperatures, snow and rain?
A-Bald Eagles are well equipped to handle harsh weather conditions. They have down feathers against their skin that can hold in the heat their bodies generate. On top of the down, they have approximately 7000 waterproof feathers that can keep the wet and cold out and also helps keep the heat inside.

Q-Where do the eagles sleep at night and does the light bother them?
A-During nesting season, Jackie the female sleeps in the nest, Shadow sleeps perched in a tree nearby in case he is needed. The light at the nest is an infrared light, this light cannot be seen by the eagles or humans. It is only picked up by the camera, which enables us to view the nest at night. In the off season, both eagles sleep perched in trees within their territory.

Q-Where is Simba?
A-Simba left the Big Bear area in August 2019. There have been no reported sightings of him. He is out there exploring his big new world and fine tuning his young eagle skills.

Cathay Pacific has announced changes to the Asia Miles frequent flyer programme. In summary, more miles can be earned on most flights, there are more seats to redeem with your miles, and the amount required to redeem flights and upgrades have changed significantly. Firstly, the number of miles earned from flights are now standardised according to fare class and distances. All flights in the same fare class and distance band will earn the same number of miles regardless of distance. People who mainly buy the cheapest Economy Class tickets will benefit the most, because earnings have at least doubled for most flights. In one of the extreme cases, miles earned for flying to Shanghai will increase fourfold!

Discounted Economy (fare classes M, L and V) and Premium Economy class tickets are a mixed bag. To put it simply, people flying regularly from most of Australia (except Perth) and North America (except Chicago and Toronto) will earn fewer miles, while people who fly regularly from Western Europe (except Dublin and Spain) will earn more miles. Personally, the number of miles I earn will not change much, because UK destinations are pretty much at break even point.

All ticket redemptions will come in the form of one way redemptions. If you want to redeem a round trip, you will have to redeem a ticket in each direction. One way tickets will cost less or the same number of miles to redeem, but just how often will you need a one way ticket by itself?

The most important change has to be that all short haul Economy Class round trips that cost more than 20,000 miles to redeem will now cost that much to redeem. You are looking at reductions of 10,000 to 25,000 miles, or 33% to 56%. Destinations affected include Japan and South Korea, which are very popular with Hong Kong people, as well as Beijing, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and India. In the meantime, Economy Class round trips to Australia, the Maldives and the Middle East will cost 1000 fewer miles to redeem, big deal.

Upgrade redemptions are hit very hard by the changes. Upgrades from Premium Economy to Business Class flights, which are quite popular for long haul flight will cost over 50% more. But hey, as someone based in the UK, redeeming such upgrades is still the most cost efficient option for me. When it comes to short haul upgrades from Economy to Business Class (if your flight does not have Premium Economy), flights to destinations between 750 and 1100 miles from Hong Kong are the hardest hit, with a 70% increase in cost!

In conclusion, Cathay Pacific is changing the Asia Miles programme to target the typical Hong Kong person, who stands to benefit the most given their travel habits. However, it is at the expense of long distance travellers. Someone’s got to give for others to take, right?

Commuting with a scooter is an efficient and fun way of transportation, however, when done in Southeast Asia you might experience a different dimension for this type of transportation – scootering as a separate adventure in itself. And what I mean by adventure is, either a crazy, chaotic adrenaline rushing commute from point A to B while continually praying for survival, or liberating exploration of the beautiful, breathtaking vast roads and nature. All this, often for just as little as $4 a day, adventure travel at its best!

If you are traveling in Third World countries typically their custom is to barter. Even the local people barter on a day-to-day basis.

The merchants typically have two prices they have the local price for the people that live in that country and they have the tourist or Forner price.
Bartering is the way of life in these countries and so I highly recommend that you start to do some bartering. Bartering usually is done at outdoor markets,taxi drivers, hotels, Street merchants, just about anybody that approaches you to buy their products.

Don't be shy just give it a try. I typically will take the price that they say they want and then cut it in half and start my negotiation there. They will say no and then I asked him what is the best price they will tell me something slightly lower I then come back with an offer slightly above my original offer. We can do this for a while and then when I feel that I'm at my lowest that I want to offer I say that's my final price and start to walk away and typically they will stop me and sell it to me at that price.

You're not offending them in fact you will notice that they have a big smile on their face because they made a sale and have some extra money in their pocket.

Dan is one of the creators of Prime Climb, the beautiful, colorful, mathematical board game. He contributes regularly to the New York Times Numberplay blog and hosts Seattle’s Julia Robinson Math Festival annually. In his spare time he performs improv comedy in Seattle.

Widoki są piękne, stan drogi bardzo różny. Za kilka lat to wszystko ma zniknąć pod wodą. Śpimy w internacie, pod namiotem i pod gołym niebiem. Widać, że tutejsze dzieci już są trochę przyzwyczajone do turystów, w przeciwieństwie do wcześniejszych części Tadżykistanu, bo teraz wołają "Hello" po angielsku. This was my first flight with Air Asia.
Air Asia is one of the major low budget airlines in Asia. Sometimes they offer dirt cheap fares, but I had few apprehensions before flying with them for the first time. I heard that they are very strict at charging for every kilo over the stipulated weight limit. I also came to know that the seats are not comfortable and offer very less leg space.

About the nest:
The nest is located at Big Bear Lake, California. It is about 110 feet up in a Jeffrey Pine tree that stands 120 tall. The nest is the current home for Jackie and Shadow, a local bald eagle pair.

Q-When will the eggs hatch?
A-The eggs were laid January 8th & 11th. Normal incubation time is 35 to 42 days. The current eggs are well past the normal hatch dates and therefore not viable.

Q-How long will Jackie and Shadow continue to incubate the eggs?
A-This is the first nest failure for Jackie and Shadow, so we do not know how much longer they are likely to incubate.

Q-What will happen to the eggs now?
A-Eventually, Jackie and Shadow will abandon the eggs. The eggs may deteriorate and become part of the nest or they may be preyed on by predators. The U.S. Forest Service has decided to let nature take its course and will not retrieve the eggs.

Q-How do you tell Jackie and Shadow apart?
A-Jackie is larger than Shadow. Jackie’s beak is both longer and thicker from top to bottom than Shadow’s. Shadow has a few dark streaks at the end of his tail feathers.

Q-How can the eagles handle the cold temperatures, snow and rain?
A-Bald Eagles are well equipped to handle harsh weather conditions. They have down feathers against their skin that can hold in the heat their bodies generate. On top of the down, they have approximately 7000 waterproof feathers that can keep the wet and cold out and also helps keep the heat inside.

Q-Where do the eagles sleep at night and does the light bother them?
A-During nesting season, Jackie the female sleeps in the nest, Shadow sleeps perched in a tree nearby in case he is needed. The light at the nest is an infrared light, this light cannot be seen by the eagles or humans. It is only picked up by the camera, which enables us to view the nest at night. In the off season, both eagles sleep perched in trees within their territory.

Q-Where is Simba?
A-Simba left the Big Bear area in August 2019. There have been no reported sightings of him. He is out there exploring his big new world and fine tuning his young eagle skills.

Black and German: news anchor Jana Pareigis has spent her entire life being asked about her skin color and afro hair. What is it like to be Black in Germany? What needs to change?

In our documentary "Afro Germany", Pareigis travels through Germany to speak with other black Germans, including rap and hip hop artists and pro footballers, , and find out what their experiences of racism in Germany have been. "Where are you from?" Afro-German journalist Jana Pareigis has heard that question since her early childhood. And she’s not alone. Black people have been living in Germany for around 400 years, and today there are an estimated one million Germans with dark skin. But they still get asked the often latently racist question, "Where are you from?" Jana Pareigis is familiar with the undercurrents of racism in the western world. When she was a child, the Afro-German TV presenter also thought her skin color was a disadvantage. "When I was young, I wanted to be white," she says. Pareigis takes us on a trip through Germany from its colonial past up to the present day, visiting other Black Germans to talk about their experiences. They include German rapper and hip hop artist Samy Deluxe, pro footballer Gerald Asamoah and Theodor Michael, who lived as a Black man in the Third Reich. They talk about what it’s like to be Black in Germany.

Asia is a great place for models to get a lot of experience. You work really hard, you shoot more pictures in a day than probably anywhere else in the world. You spend more time running around and seeing people. Tokyo for years was really the only place that people went in Asia in the beginning. It's a very safe place, they have drivers who drive you around, primarily because the language is absolutely so different. The letters are different, everything is different; you would never find your way around in any Asian country unless you were lucky enough to speak that language.

So, it's very protected. You get a working contract, you have to make sure it's a good agency. But the good agencies work with a good contract, you go there for a period of time, you're kind of guaranteed how much work you're going to do and how much money you're going to make. So, traditionally that's how it works.

The height requirements are different because the clothes they manufacture and they make are quite different. So, you can be, you know, five-nine, A girl that's five-eleven is too tall for that market. Sometimes someone who's five-eight can go there and just clean up and make a ton of money. They like smiley, Caucasian looking girls. They don't want anybody that's too distinctively different. They're sort of a perfect proportion to the face, perfect proportion to the body, good fit is really important.

And Asia has opened up incredibly for all the right reasons. Now there is China; you can go to all different parts of Asia. You'd actually spend a nice time going from one country to another, and be in a culture that you would never, ever have the experience of living in. And it is much different and it's an incredible experience to spend time in those countries.

That's sort of the beauty in modeling is that you get to enjoy places that you would never go to. But the requirements are stricter; you need to have a contract, you can't just go and show up in Shanghai without being invited. The two things that have changed over the last two years are they have a lot of magazines, there's a lot of beautiful editorial that's shot in Asia, some really wonderful photographers, cosmetics. It really has evolved into a market that really produces wonderful, wonderful work.

So, it's a great place for beginners to go because you really learn the job of modeling, you learn how to act, how to shoot a lot of pictures in a day, and it's just a great place to get a lot of experience. And it's a protected place, so if you're with a good agency you'll be very well taken care of. All of those agencies have scouts in America. There's people that agencies in New York work with good agencies in Asia, so you get the right introduction.

And the other great thing that's happened is that Asian models, they're sort of a transfer, where the world has become smaller, and there's more opportunities for all different types of ethnicities in our business, which is a great thing. We have more Asian models being more successful, not being blocked into one specific type of beauty. So, the same goes; the exchange of beauty is going between different areas of the world. Ad that's the best part of the business, opening up for everyone in Asia, is that it's offered better quality work.
